NonClassical: Pindrop Ensemble – London

The NonClassical night, run by Gabriel Prokofiev, has invited the Pindrop Ensemble to showcase some of our work and remixes in London.

Performances begin at 9pm, and will run something like as follows:

1. Acoustic set 1:
Feet of Clay : Simon Holt
Paille in the Wind: Xenakis
- Tom Bayman (cello) – Kate Whitley (piano)

2. Remix exchange [Original Composition & Live Remake]:
a) Piano & Tape – William Cheshire vs. Andrew Spyrou
b) Piano, Cello & Violin – Laurence Osborn vs. Joe Snape
c) Violin & Piano – Kate Whitley vs. Peter Yarde-Martin

3. Acoustic Set 2:
String Quartet no.1 : Gabriel Prokofiev
- Neil Amin-Smith (violin) Maya Amin-Smith (violin) Rosie Ventris (viola) Grace Chatto (cello)

4. Acoustic Set 3:
Frances Balmer – Call
Messaien – trois petite melodies
- Roses Leech-Wilkinson (recorder) Jo Songi (soprano)

Also playing will be solo pianist GéNIA to play a selection of pieces from G. Prokofiev’s Piano Book No. 1, along with some familiar and more traditional repertoire.
Shiva Feshareki will also be performing an experimental DJ set.

Gabriel Prokofiev & Richard Lannoy will be DJing throughout the evening.
